Rare autographed cdv of General James A Ekin in Dress Uniform as a Member of Honor Guard of selected officers detailed to take Abraham Lincoln's body to Springfield Il. Taken by Fassett of Chicago who famously photographed all the members of the honor guard (I think 13 in total) dressed in Dress Uniform and signed below the images. Ekin also served on the Lincoln Assasination Tribunal to try the Conspritors among other actions. Rare and important. Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General.
